When might Scottish retail emerge from lockdown?

Updated: Jun 15, 2020

In Scotland, we are still in lockdown, I thought I was doing fine but the last 2 weeks for me have been much harder. Its been frustrating not having my shop open and at the same time being worried about the risks to customers and myself when shops can open again. Today in the daily briefing Nicola Sturgeon told us that she would announce her route map for getting out of lockdown on Thursday. She went on to say that this would include opening recycling centres, golfing and fishing and key industries and detail how schools would open. I am hoping that this will include good news for small retail businesses. My 2020 predicted revenue is unfortunately a distant memory but if I can get to the same level of trade as last year I will be very very happy. And that's possible if shops can open in June to give society time to adjust and rebuild High Street shopping habits alongside newly made online shopping trends.
